Jeff Davi, of Monterey, California, is a Realtor/Broker with many years of experience in the real estate field.

On October 6, 2004, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed Jeff Davi as Real Estate Commissioner for the State of California.

As Commissioner, Jeff oversaw the licensing and regulation of over 543,000 real estate licensees and was responsible for a staff of approximately 342  until the summer of 2011.

Prior to being appointed, he managed a family-owned residential and commercial real estate firm in the Monterey area.

After returning to Monterey and his business he join forces with the Monterey Peninsula Home Team of Keller Williams. Jeff still maintains the family’s property management business at A.G. Davi Property Management.

Father of 5, grandfather of 3 and graduate of St Mary’s College.

SILVER HARVEST is a movie made a few decades ago about the fishing industry which my family was very much involved with in the 1930s, 40s and 50s.

This is a great movie, because it speaks to the heritage and history of our community in the Monterey peninsula. In fact, it shows some footage of the Santa Rosa festival, which includes youngsters dancing, and the parade as well as the big celebration at the Custom house, Plaza, that I attended as a child along with my family.

My father Anthony Davi Sr. uncle James Davi is featured in this movie as he was a captain of several boats and had a fishing fleet. My grandfather, his youngest brother, Guido Davi I, used to fish with his brothers and in the 1950s when the sardines started to go away.

My grandfather decided to quit the fishing industry and get into real estate and insurance. That decision by my Grandfather is what led my family to the real estate business and we are still involved that business three generations later – as my oldest daughter Rachelle is a Realtor in town today.

Enjoy this interesting watch, and a look into the history of a great industry in our wonderful community!!
